Hello Mount Music Minstry Members,
Please join us for our SMZ Mass Choir rehearsal this Saturday, at 10:30 AM. We will be doing two different spins on the classic tune "When the Saints Go Marching In". The first is a more contemporary version from Hezekiah Walker's church choir, and the second a little more traditional, embodying a New Orleans 2nd Line feeling, from the Fisk Jubilee Singers. The Fisk Jubilee Singers are a group that originated at Fisk University in 1871, with the intent of raising funds for the university, specializing in Negro Spirituals, Anthems and Hymns. Take a listen to their project "In Bright Mansions" in your spare time. Please see the lyrics and audio links below, and forward to any people you know who may be interested in singing with us. Have a blessed day and I'll see you soon!

CHORUS:
I'm glad to be alive
I’m glad to be alive
It's one more day
He's kept me hallelu.
In this world of pain and grief.
I am living in complete peace;
I'm glad to be in that number one more day, day.
BRIDGE:
One more day, thank you Lord,
I just want to thank You.
One more day, thank you Lord,
I just want to thank You.

When the saints go marching
Oh Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in
Oh when the saints go marching in
When the saints go marching
Oh Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in
